Mobility III
Sente works with international startups, global corporations and early-stage investors to innovate and scale Mobility innovations together.
The program starts in London on September 9, Paris the week of October 14, an intense month in the US in December (Chicago, Detroit and New York / New Jersey), and ongoing hands-on support until September 2020.
The program is designed to take early-stage international Mobility startups to scale-up via a hands-on, structured accelerator using Sente's proven methodology, tools, mentors and networks.

The program will be focused on early-stage companies in the following domains. Applicants should be post R&D stage (MVP ready or < 6 months away).

Connected Vehicles - software and hardware platforms / infotainment and related apps, connected vehicle services, connectivity and infrastructure solutions, HMI, vehicle interior, IoT and smart sensors, etc.

Autonomous Vehicles - advanced driver assistance systems, automated and autonomous driving technologies, automated parking

E-Mobility - battery technology, charging infrastructure, alternative energies, fleet management, new material sciences

Urban Mobility - smart city technologies such as intermodal transportation planning, intelligent traffic management, intelligent infrastructure

Mobility Services - vehicle sharing, ride sharing, parking services, contextual location-based services

The Mobility program is highly structured and is tailored to address the key challenges international startups face, such as:

Achieving focus and cutting through the noise of the urban mobility and transportation landscape

Creating a sales & marketing plan to have meaningful conversations with customers in new markets such as the US and Europe

Collaborating with heavy hitters in the urban mobility and transportation sectors

Estimating the required resources for market entry and scale up
-
Finding a friendly ecosystem to test commercial hypothesis

Getting access to growth funding and exit channels (e.g. IPO, acquisition)
In Phase I:
-
Companies will receive hands-on training and mentorship on the above topics

Companies will also have weekly homework assignments that are structured in a way to provide iterative progress on business plans, economics models, go-to-market plans and pitch decks that are investor-ready

Accommodations and flights for one founder for Week 1 in London will be paid by Sente

Accommodations for one founder for Week 6 in Paris will be paid by Sente (founder is responsible for flight cost)

For the US portion (Phase II), the top 5 startups will have access to
the resources they need to test their commercial model in a new market, including:

Creation of a US entity*

Establishment of a US bank account

Skilled analyst support for building of business plan & financial model

Cash investment of $50,000
-
A 4-week intense business development experience and a series of industry events
(flight and accommodation provided by Sente for one founder), with access
to Sente's extensive network of industry contacts in the US -
Access to office space in Chicago

An additional 7 months of support from the Sente team with objective of getting market traction with Sente's partners, other customers, and capital for growth
Investment details:*

Startups not selected to Top 5 (Phase II) will not give up equity
-
Sente will receive 4% preferred equity in the Top 5 initially for program services, travel, lodging & event costs ($25,000+ value) and within a few weeks of selection, an additional $50,000 cash round as a SAFE agreement (valuation determined in next qualified fundraising round)

Depending upon the progress startups make over the next 7 months of the program, Sente and its investor partners may invest as a follow-on round and/or matching of $250,000+ (at a future, negotiated valuation)
* Legal costs for company formation and investment will be paid for by the selected startups out of the cash investment
